History & Origin
The first printed recipe bearing the French name crème brûlée appeared in the late seventeenth century, although related burnt creams are also part of English and Catalan traditions. Orange zest and a small measure of orange liqueur give this restaurant-style variation a distinctly French citrus perfume.
