History & Origin
Brigadeiros became a Brazilian celebration sweet in the mid-twentieth century. Modern confeitaria shops often sell brigadeiro gourmet made with real dark chocolate and cream; it has a deeper cocoa flavour and softer bite than the classic cocoa-and-sprinkle version.
